Our offer of courses and counselling occurs in agreement with the procedures granted by the law concerning immigration from the year 2005. We give support for the following groups: acknowledged refugees, contingent refugees, EU-citizens, Germans with a migrant background and members of their families. The counselling is free, anonymous and can be conducted in different languages: German, English, Romanian, Russian, Ukrainian. Our employees must obtain professional discretion. In Augsburg the centres for the support of immigrants are connected with the expert’s forum for immigration. There all groups and institutions of the city and the district of Augsburg, which are responsible for the matters of immigrants, and the providers of language courses meet on a monthly basis in order to discuss and combine their efforts. Our counselling services are being supported by the Bundesministerium des Inneren, BMI (Federal Ministry of the Interior). The Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge, BAMF (Federal Department for Immigrants and Refugees) is responsible for the performance of immigration counceling. This Federal Department also elaborates concepts and accompanies their implementation.
